Currency comverter currently makes that £95.72. For that you're getting the most updated version of SFIV, SFxT which is very recent game, 2 HD remasters which sell for over £10 each on PSN (not sure about XBLA pricing? The same?), a load of DLC which would be a rip-off if all bought offline, the statue (not everybody's thing), 3 movies, a complete animated series, 11 disc soundtrack, artbook and documentaries.

I can see why people think the set is a rip-off but all that stuff is good value together if you're into stuff like artbooks and content that goes further than just playing the game.

I didn't just mean artbooks - that was just an example. I like to watch the documentaries, listen to all the music again and have a bit of fighting game merchandise. If the set was just the games then yes, it would obviously be a p!sstake.

Fighting games are the only real genre where I like to pick up special sets for these days. I love the games themselves and everything that goes into them so this 25th Anniversary set is fine with me. A new game would probably have been better but we all knew it wasn't going to happen.

But no, I guess everybody will just torrent the music and anime stuff if they haven't already. Personally I prefer the real stuff whenever possible.

I don't think the price is that bad considering it comes with 2 full games on disc and 2 arcade games, all their respective DLC and a bunch of extra's. In comparison look at stuff like the Ninja Gaiden 3/Max Payne 3 special editions which cost anywhere between £60-£90 and came with far less stuff to warrant the price. Not to say the price for this is justified but it doesn't seem as bad of a deal as most mass market special editions released these days. Now if Capcom does a similar thing for Megamans anniversary this year...

The documentary is the only thing that might interest me. The rest I already have/don't want.

And even that's going to be online within 10 minutes delivery of the original shipments.
