In an utterly shamless attempt at increasing my blog readership, I am giving away games for Christmas! Well, I was... I was doing a "Twelve Games of Christmas" thing, and then my internet connection crapped out, which brought that to a bit of a halt. It's back now though, so I'm catching up. And the twelve days of Christmas traditionally starts on Christmas Day anyway, so timing's not that much of an issue.

Anyway, it's mostly Steam-based games I'm giving away, and my blog link is in my signature, so if you fancy your chances (and there aren't many entries...), have a look-see!

Apologies if this site has been posted before

http://retrouprising.com

Play thousands of games in your browser for free. Including 100's of classic coin op arcade games, Sega and NES.

Suprised it hasn't been mentioned - maybe it has!

Part one of my new feature "Selecting Save on the Games We Make" was published this morning on Gamasutra. It's an official follow-up to "Where Games Go To Sleep: The Game Preservation Crisis" from last year.

Find out how developers including Warren Spector, Richard Garriott, Square Enix, and Team Ninja of Tecmo Koei (along with six other developers/publishers) are preserving their video games for the future. An exciting update on video game museums is also featured! Indie developers will be featured in part two coming next month!

A decent flash game from Bullet Bill's perspective, there's also two others but I think this one is the best.

A bit shameless - but I've recently started up a retro Tumblr blog about classic PC games at http://www.strifestreams.com/

I do love Retro Gamer - but it seems to miss out on PC gaming, which is were I have most my best gaming memories! Can't forget about those classic CGA/EGA/VGA gaming years! :D

Another shameless plug/update on my t-shirt site. "Now with over 80 designs, covering a wide range of computer and console classics (plus some random doodle designs) usual range of sizes, male and female fit (not sure if i have kids sizes, think I used to but redbubble stopped them) anyway if you get a chance check out the facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Slippytee or click my signature :) - Last batch of designs included Metroid,Metal Warriors, Rebelstar and Starquake designs" - plug over :) ;)

I'm sure this has already been added but i'm loving this JavaCPC site at the mo http://java.cpc-live.com/game.php much handier than faffing around with an emu plus you get a nice skin - and the screen is postage stamp size so it makes the cpc games look sweet (less teletexty) :D

My blog http://beforemario.com/ showcases and celebrates the toys and games Nintendo created in the period from the mid 60s to the early 80s, starting with the first board games up to the launch of the Family Computer in 1983.

Check out the table of contents here: http://blog.beforemario.com/p/list-of-toys-and-games.html

Thanks for that link! I had the the Rifle with the Lion Head target when I was a child! I remembered I had some Nintendo toys brought from Japan by my grandfather, but I couldn't find them. Now I can.
