Oh my god, I had a TOMY football when I was a child, and I absolutely loved it. Me and my two brothers would play it every day. Never knew the motors were notiriously loud, as mine was always perfect. Coincidently, I think ours was sold at a car booty as well, but like us all, want it back again when were adults :x

I never owned a Tomy football, but when I was at school, on the last day of term people would bring toys in and there were always a few of these around. Actually I was in a charity shop a couple of weeks ago and someone was at the counter buying one for £3.99. If only I'd been a few mins earlier....

Went to a small covered carboot this morning as it was pretty miserable outside. Nothing retro to be seen, but i came away with these:

Pleased with the dualshock 3 as i didn't own one. It was £3. Nice to see some games that i don't normally come across too. :)

Nice haul - though I am hoping you really hate that Megaman!

Yeah, that's the strange thing...he was selling quite a few PS3 games and wanted between £5-£7 each, so i thought he'd have asked more. Happy to pay him what he wanted. I was a little suspicious it was knacked, but worth the gamble for the money. My son's given it a quick runout on MW3 and it seems to be working ok. I just want to see that its holding a decent charge before i give it a clean bill of health :)

Same here - especially the first few - but its one of my psp wants - along with Castlevania Dracula x - which I have no idea why its not in my collection as I remember buying it.

My local bootsale gave up very little today but I did grab a few bits from a couple of charity shops on the way back. Battlestar Galactica season 2 box set for trading at cex , 7 dodgy cd albums that have a reasonable trade in value in various places and a Song of the South Video.all for less than a fiver.

Nothing to play though :(

Nothing earth shattering so far today

PS2 pad and a silver GameBoy Advance Sp for £2. Couple of DVDs and CDs for a few pounds means ive come back for the first time in a long time from a carboot with money in my wallet.

Theres an afternoon one that says seller from 12pm, buyers from 1pm - whens the best time to roll up?

It won't matter. The dealers will beat you in by having a sellers slot and proceed to hoover up the best stuff to stick on their stall at inflated prices.

I'd get there 15 minutes before official opening, they usually let you in anyway. :)

I'm sure you'll find something...i usually manage ok. Just make sure you're thorough...dealers tend to rush around and do miss the odd nugget  Good luck!

Get there the earlier the better. Theres one in Bedford when i go to see my missus. It says it opens at 11 and the everytime ive been there theres been nothing. On an off chance i went past there at 9.30 to find it open minus all the dealers and plenty of games and stuff all siting there. Turns out that the people running it open the gates at 9 for the sellers but when 50 cars have gone through the let the buyers in. No one bothered to ask them though how they run it so no one could figure what time they opend.
