Hi

I hope it’s OK to post this here.

I’m hosting a pinball league meet next Sunday 16 October in Broadstone near Poole, Dorset. There’s more info on the uk pinball league website at funnily enough http://www.ukpinballleague.co.uk :) . The league was set up as more of an excuse to meet up and play some games than the competition itself so it’s very relaxed and friendly. There’s a range of abilities ranging from beginner to experienced so if you’ve not played much before or for a while you won’t be alone and also got a few guys from jamma+ coming who aren’t that familiar with pinball.

Meet starts from 11.30 with the pinball comp at 2.

I’ve also got around 13 classic arcade videos which will be available to play as follows:

Robotron
Defender
Joust
Centipede
Millipede
Space Duel
Tempest
Warlords cocktail
Black Widow
Star Wars
Galaxian
Asteroids Deluxe
Mame cab

Pinballs list is
Medieval Madness
Monster Bash
White Water
Twilight Zone
Lord of the Rings
Spiderman
Ripleys Believe it or Not
Dirty Harry
Roadshow
Congo
Dr Who

Let me know if you’re interested in coming and I’ll email you address. If you’ve got any questions there’s a very good FAQ on the league website or feel free to ask here.

Maybe see a few of you next Sunday?

Cheers

Hi,

Just a quick post to let everyone know that the Homebrew event at the Lass O'Gowrie scheduled for early December has now been postponed until the last weekend of the month in January (27th - 28th Jan). Apologies, but with Replay and other factors we've just not been able to devote enough time to the event planning in time for December. Don't worry though, we're on for January and will provide more information soon as.

Can someone please update the first page accordingly?

Cheers

Spoke to the LGC organisers at Replay last weekend. It is their first gaming show (their history is Anime conventions). Hopefully it will be a hood new addition to the gong calendar.

Is the front post still being updated? A number of events are missing from it. Its nice to use this to refer to for reference.

-The one in London on 3/4 December mentioned a few posts up.

-The Southcoast Slam in April.

-The one in Margate in February.

-Matt's Retro Games Festival in January.

Hi All,

I noticed that the Arcade Barn in Exeter website has posted that they are hosting the "HI-SCORE the UK ARCADE CHAMPIONSHIPS" again in 2012. I'd be keen to play in this and meet some other UK arcade players. Does anyone have any more details?

Good gaming

Will HISCORE 2012 still be taking place, as I have just read that the Arcade Barn is closing down:

Unfortunately due to the closure of The Arcade Barn, HISCORE 2012 is cancelled for now, but I will be looking at other possibilities so stay tuned... ;)
