Combined Sales, Wants & Trades including Transformers Wants!

Postby simes on Thu Jan 19, 2012 6:29 pm

Hi,

Updated this list now to be a combined sales, wants and trades thread to make things easier! My main priority from the wants side of things is that I am trying to build up a complete collection of every Transformers computer and video game ever released on every format both for my own personal collection and as something that I intend to showcase and display at the Transformers convention that I run every year in Birmingham. While I've got most of the games that have been released in one form or another, there are still some I'm missing or a few format variants and being a completist (and to make the display as comprehensive as possible!) I want to try to get hold of every game possible so I'm asking for your help!

If anyone has any of the Transformers / Gobots games listed below for sale, I have cash waiting immediately! As long as the game isn't in my collection and you're asking a fair price then consider it sold! I'm also interested in buying complete collections of Transformers games as I'll be able to make use of these at the convention generally. I've listed them all below in release date order as best as I know and I'm after package varations and if you have anything that you think I might be interested in that isn't listed here, let me know. For sales etc, I'm happy to sell or trade and I'm open to anything really!

Also, I sold a lot of my old games for various computers / consoles over the years and I want to restore my collections so I'm trying to fill gaps again so I'll be after these as well as some gems I missed first time around!

Sales / trades wise I've got a mixed bundle of stuff as I'm streamlining the collection a bit. I'm trying to focus mainly on a few consoles / systems and sell off duplicate games that I have lying around as well or ones that I just don't play anymore. In part I'm looking to sell mainly as I'm trying to get some cash together for my daughter as we want to take her on a big day out soon plus we're trying to get a lot of cash together as one of our dogs needs a fairly expensive operation, but I'm willing to trade for anything on my wants list below as well. Part of the sales list stems from me breaking up a collection of Anco / Anirog games I was trying to build up. I've decided to rationalise this and just focus on a few systems that I am keeping and collection so all the non-C64 / Vic 20 and C16 and my favourite Amiga titles are going from this lot! Also, although I'm collecting them, I'll probably have some duplicate Transformers games as I've had to buy collections over the last year or so in order to get individual games!

All the prices exclude postage and I'm happy to work out combined costs for multiple purchases or collection from Lichfield can be arranged if you prefer. I prefer payment by PayPal as a gift (stops me getting screwed over by PayPal's fees!) but I'll even step into the dark ages and take cheques and I'll ship anwhere in the world!

Did you know Optimus and Megatron were in this Smash Bros style Japanese fighter?

Might be worth adding to your list if you're looking for everything Transformers related.

Yeah, already got that one for the PS2 and Gamecube but thanks for mentioning it. I've got most of the games that have been released on most formats over the years and even managed to get myself a boxed copy of Beast Wars: Transmetals for the N64 which is ridiculously rare but there are still a few gaps that I'm trying to fill in over the next couple of months.

Just picked up a copy of the US release of Atari's Transformers game for the PS2 so I've updated the wants list. Managed to get a new, sealed copy of the French packaging variant of the first movie game for the PC last week as well for under £1 inclusive of postage on eBay!

Do you have the PS2 The Transformers G1 game by Winkysoft, that was only released in Japan despite having English dialogue? I've only ever seen it on Youtube, but it looked like a bad Dynasty Wars clone, but with an impressive list of characters.

Yeah, got that one too. Took me a little while to get an affordable copy as they're usually selling for around the £40 mark at the moment. Just need to get a chipped or Japanese PS2 to be able to play the bloody thing now...! lol

Yeah, not updated my sig on a few forums! lol I've got to update the banner as well as we made quite a few guest announcements in the run-up to Christmas including a third actor and a few more comic-related guests but with all the organising of the event, it's taken up a lot of time. I've been trying to get a Transformers games website up and running in parallel and just not had time to do everything lately!

It's been going really well. It started back in 2000 as a single day gathering with just over 30 people and now it's a full weekend thing with loads of guests including actors, comic and TV writers, artists, rare displays, parties, discos, live bands, and just under 600 people attending and we've become the largest in Europe! :)

My mate once wrote a column for my website about various Transformers games. There was another Japanese release called Transformers: Mystery of Convoy for the NES. He only played it on an emulator but it's not very good. He spent ages having to fight a giant Decepticon logo and then wandered round and round a giant hedge maze for nearly an hour before giving up. I think it's on the Virtual Console on the Wii in Japan.

Yeah, got Mystery Of Convoy. It's pretty awful and it's got a reputation for being the hardest Transformers game ever released! I've recently replaced my original Famicom cartridge with a fully boxed copy but I've only played it under emulation. I need to get hold of a Famicom at some point as I've had trouble getting my Famicom adaptor to work properly on my NES!
