Hell yeah, Fernando P1!!! But truth is we got lucky to survive Q2  Tomorrow it will be tough and conditions will make it an unupredictable race, but it's good to see a Red Car start from pole position again

Oh well, Alonso got pole. I can only hope that Jenson can pull off a miracle tomorrow and do some mega overtaking! I do hope we are not going to have another delayed race because of the rain, as well as starting behind the safety car. It looks like this will be Alonso's race to lose.

That was a shocking effort by Button. I was screaming at the TV as he crossed the line! How could he / they leave it till that close to the end before realising new tyres would help??!!
McLaren have been very odd this year. Usually they start with a rubbish car - and over the space of 4 or 5 races they usually sort the problems and start challenging..... this year they started very well and seem to be stuck in a downward spiral :(

Looking forward to the race though..... If I were to pick a winner from the top 4, I'd go for Webber (as I really don't like the other 3  )

McLaren have seemed disorganised for a while now. Remember how many bad pitstop calls they have had(Lewis at the the Australian 2010 Grand Prix? Jenson's wheel coming off at the British Grand Prix in 2011), etc.). Okay, sometimes mistakes happen, but it seems to happen a lot at McLaren.

I think they had the fastest car for the first two races, but now it is fairly even. I don't think that there is much between the Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Lotus or McLaren. If I had to pick the fastest car, it might be the Red Bull(mainly down to Mr. Newey).

Fingers crossed for McLaren to pull off a win tomorrow.

The team has made many screw-ups for years now. They're their own worst enemy it could be argued.

I still vividly recall what an incredible team McLaren once were up until around 1993 who rarely ever made mistakes, never mind the elementary schoolboy errors they've repeatedly made these past few years. Yes, they enjoyed some success in the late '90s with Hakkinen''s two WDC titles but that was short-lived and Ferrari will still trying to get their act together at the time following many years in the wilderness.

It's too simplistic to blame it all on Ron Dennis no longer having the role he once did, imho, as the team made some frightful blunders in 2007, for example, when he was still in direct control of the organisation's F1 division. I perceive that the team's fundamental problem is their seeming 'management by committee' culture. I could go on but... Grrrr!

Don't get me started on Ferrari's errors... and I'm not talking about small mistakes, like the 2008 championship thrown away with Massa released from the pits while still refueling or the 2010 championship politely offered to Vettel at the last GP  just to say a couple...

BTW, no problem with Ferrari-buses, I myself constantly call the silver cars "McLadren", so...

More rain today, it seems... hope there won't be any first corner surprises. But I really wouldn't want to see another "rolling start" behind the safety car.

Note: "ladro" in italian means "thief"

Maldonado up to his nonsense again  - Perez the victim this time. :(

Go Webber! :D :D :D

Alonso not able to make his tyres last the last few laps... again!

Shocking day for McLaren.

Good effort from Bruno Senna and another solid result by Raikkonen.

I had no doubts, I just meant that's really hilarious   btw, we missed the victory but Alonso getting 2nd thanks to not driving like a d*ck like Ham is still good :) and any day where McLadrens eat dust is a good day

Maldonado seriously needs to stop driving like his car is a weapon...

Oh dear. McLaren didn't perform here. Well done to Webber and Alonso. It was quite an interesting race, would have been better with some rain!

Even Massa did well today.

Not a bad race, deffo not the best this season! Well done Webber - so glad he got it :D

As for the Maldonado Perez crash, I would put that down as a racing incident. Watch it again.... Perez is very brave sticking his car up the outside on that corner and although he leaves enough room, Maldonado loses traction and slides into Perez. It's unfortunate and I hope he doesnt earn a name for ramming others out of races.

McLaren were diabolical.

Indeed. Mind you, they did manage a blisteringly quick pitstop for Button, it's just a shame the car wasn't as quick.

You know, given the Red Bull's return to form, this could even be Webber's year. I always thought he was a bit of a Coulthard, but hey, you never know, he might surprise me.

Maldonado was handed a 10,000 Euro fine and given a reprimand by the race stewards for his part in the collision with Sergio Perez. :D
