Fantastic news and what I'm hoping will excite some of you, both issues of Pixel Nation are now available for £5.99 including free shipping. This lasts until the 20th August so just 2 weeks or until the stock runs out.

Thanks to a special offer from the printers we have been given a much lower price on the current print run but once they are gone its back to normal. We only have a small number of these so it really is first come, first serve :lol:

Who knows if this goes well it might become a more regular price assuming I can negotiate enough with the printers 8)

Issue 1 can be found here:

Issue 2:

http://pixel-nation.co.uk/index.php/online-store/product/144-pixel-nation-issue-2

I've also dropped the price of the PDF download to match as well :D

For sure :D We really tried to improve the look, design and articles from one issue to the next. I hope you will see it as an improvement but because we are producing more issues it means we can make changes, constantly evolve etc. There's bigger and better things to follow!

We've just run out of the £5.99 stock... however I did say it would last until the 20th so will keep it at that price until Monday :shock:

Still got to order mine. :roll:

I would have ordered it using the Ebay option already (pixel nation website scripts no likey my computer :( ), however, I don't really get why it's listed as an auction rather than with a 'Buy-it-now' price! This alone put me off buying already. Silly perhaps, but I never like bidding for items in advance and last minute bids are only an option when I'm about... which is not very often as late. :(

BIN = Instant sale. :)

Have read issue 1 now, but will reserve my right to comment until I get hold of Issue 2, mainly to see if the problems dogging the first release remained.

Was a free listing weekend for auctions so threw it up as that this week :) Also the PN site accepts Paypal and NoChex, eBay only accepts Paypal :(

Was expecting a reply to that, if for no other reason than to use it as an opportunity to sell me Issue 2

Missed out there it would seem Keith.

Well if you haven't read through any of the thread yet we have bigger, better and more exciting content. The goal with each issue is to improve and the design is more streamlined and professional looking this time round :D Plus we even have a few of the RG freelancers helping out with several articles as well as a mix of forumite writers. We've also managed to increase the number of interviews with a special chatting to Steve Wozniak on his time with Apple and developing the BASIC language. Something not covered elsewhere but an in-depth look at the history of Atari... Japan! Rather than focus on the usual US scene we crossed over to the Far East to discover the untold story or so it seems.

A chat with Philip Vachey about his music career involved in the likes of Alone in the Dark and Little Big Adventure and my own fav DC game Toy Commander and for those 8-Bit Speccy fans there's a look at the dreaded 50 games cassette from Cascade Games with an interview with the man behind it all Guy Wilhelmy. We have really tried our best to improve this issue and I think it really shows :D

We don't have any advertising in the mag either and I hope we never will, each page is packed to the brim with retro content.

We are also on the look out for writers, the drive for PN has always been to be more community based. We want more people involved to make suggestions, write articles etc. There's also something to do so please drop me a line if you fancy seeing your name in print or have something to contribute :)
