Chelsea through to Champions League Final

Postby bensonrad on Tue Apr 24, 2012 8:52 pm

What a game, been listening it on the radio and the end on live streaming, I said to my work mate as I left work (whos supports Barca) "you may think they are invincible, but I tell you Chelsea will hold strong and get through and I guarantee you Torres will come late and score the crucial goal"
If only I had put money on it!! I well over the moon though :D :D :D

To think Chelsea played with 10 men most of the game without their two main centre backs, Just fab.

Thing of beauty watching Chelski defending in the second half, found myself screaming when Torres scored - fair play to him and the rest of them. Apart from Terry - will be nice to see him crying from the stands this time - either way, he aint gunna lift the cup

I am really please about this result for Di Matteo, it is nice to see somebody like him doing well in the dugout, hopefully this will mean other clubs will give different managers a go, instead of the same old names.

Great result for Chelski and Torres maintains his impressive scoring record against Barca!

Chuffed to see Barca fail again.

A shame Ramires, Terry, Ivanovic and Meireles are all suspended for the final though.

Cue more Mourinho shenanigans should Real Madrid reach the final too!

For someone who doesn't care about Chelsea, I found myself cheering them on, they had what? 25% possession but that's what can sometimes make football fun. Was a great game.

Surely Di Matteo should get the job for keeps if he wins it?
Everyone knows the Champions League is the one Abramovich really wants, it'd be hard to say no if he comes back from Munich with the trophy.

And John Terry - couldn't happen to a nicer bloke!

18% possession, over 180 minutes.

As Gerard Houllier said when Liverpool got a result at the Nou Camp - "You can keep the ball, we'll keep the result."

That was before he had a heart attack and eventually went insane with power.
"Very soon our luck will change, we'll do what we need to do to win matches, and we'll fly."

I know nothing about football, but it seems to me that John Terry might just be the most amoral, unscrupulous son-of-a-censored on the planet. I hope he dies of a particularly horrid venereal disease.

But he's "not that sort of player to intentionally hurt anyone".

The Barca player does rather stall before dropping to the ground and quickly raising his hand. Terry is an idiot for doing it in the first place, if anyone should know better that there are many camera's watching him and every move its JT! Surely its just a matter of days till the press start replaying all the Anton Ferdinand stuff again.

One thing I will say is the BBC radio commentary was so negative during the game, I was glad to tune into Sky sports who were by far more positive in their commentating.
