Great models. Regarding cutting the images neater you just need to invest in the following..

Proper rubber cutting mat;


Scalpel (try and get the proper surgical carbon steel blades)


..and a good Metal ruler, don't bother with the cork backed ones though, it rises the edge too far from the surface your trying to cut.

I did art at college and design at uni, have had to cut millions of things out for making scale models etc and portfolio work. Your never going to get a good enough edge with scissors

Just be extra extra careful of the scalpel blades, I've had more than one nasty accident

Thanks so much for taking the time to give me that advice. A cutting board is definately on my wishlist.

I bought a set of craft knives with all different type bladed from the model shop. A scalpel is a good idea though, and im definately getting better at cutting things out with every model i make.

I am actually quite surprised i havnt had an accident with the blades so far, being the clumsy oaf that i am .. oh no, better not tempt fate

I will upload some more photos into my photobucket tommorrow, including the new and improved Turles, and hopefully Mario Bros. and Galaxian, which are nearly completed.

Meantime, here is a very rough WIP shot of Xevious, which i have been working on . I have added a scale perspex screen mounted above the monitor and bezel for this one, which i believe makes it authentic to it's full size big brother --



Also, here is a photo of Asteroids that im quite happy with .. On this one i made themarquee, bezel and monitor screen removable ( as an experiment ) so you can actually take off the marquee, and then remove the bezel and screen to put different screen shots or whatever in there if you so desire . But i digress

There's probably none of these that closely resemble any arcade guns but you could try here......

Games Workshop, Airfix, Battlefront or Warlord? Sure they'd do Bitz packs with vehicle accessories. Actually 15\28mm scale jeeps\bike might do the job for chassis as well? Matchbox cars at car boots? A few possible ideas.

they are approx 5 Inches tall. I will take some more photos later today with something in the shot to illustrate scale
