Yeah said something similar on WOS.

Bit of a letdown i thought this 'new format', the previous 12 weeks seemed a waste, Helen was the best of the bunch (10-2) and any other year she would have won. But her idea was terrible and then backtracking in the boardroom with her new idea didnt work. The inventor was a bit wacky but had a good idea at the end so obviously won it.

Still a good show to watch. Think Dragons Den is back soon, bit bored of that as the opening 15 minutes is 'we're so rich, youre not, we're going to get richer now, just watch...'

It was a shame that Helen didn't win as her record was obviously excellent but Tom was the better candidate for the format this series.

It is funny how in the previous format he would have been fired weeks ago and Helen would have pretty much had the final wrapped up before it even started but for the position I did think Tom was the better one at the end.

I felt exactly the same about the last episode , i was a bit cheesed off with no " final " task to do , the interviews are usually done the episode before the final , even when it got to the final two i presumed they'd have to do something other than the business plans (which were all poor) .

As to Dragons den , i always record it and shuffle along about 8 minutes in until it starts properly without all the waffle .

I was rooting for Jim all the way, so was quite disappointed by his lack of "business" plan in the final.

And also surprised by Helen's business plan as well. Will be interesting to see if she does decide to start up her own business now after the show (if she does, I really hope she drops her original idea), or whether Karen & Nick were right about her just being good at following orders.

Really enjoyed watching You're Hired afterwards. Dara's brilliant on that show. Couldn't stop laughing at the Jedi Jim clips :D

I was telling my Mrs for weeks that either Tom or Susan would win. He had several chances to get rid of Tom, but kept him in because I believe he knew a a long time ago that he would have picked Tom because of his background.

I think Tom, Helen and Susan deserved to do well. If he picked Jim to win he may well have set fire to £250,000.

I think the bit where Jim said the line "I thought it could be a non-profit organisation" kind of killed it for him.

That bit had me in hysterics, especially when Jim gave Dara the t-shirt with Jedi Jim on it.

Thought Susan might have been a strong possibility last night, until she started coming out with how she reckoned the business would make a million quid profit in the first year or whatever. The Dragons Den lot would have just laughed her out of the room.

It was a bit of a surprise to see Tom win it (thought Helen had it in the bag), but good to see a relatively likeable bloke win over all the massively inflated egos and bullsh*t of a few of the others.

(and the "I'm exactly what it says on the tin" moment with Jim and Margaret was hilarious)

The only reason I wanted Jim to reach the final was because it was blindingly obvious he'd got by on sheer blagging and would fall short during the interviews, which of course he did. I'm still undecided whether Susan is a complete idiot or just opens her mouth without really thinking, in the end I think I'll attribute it to naivety, at times she certainly seemed to have the potential to go on to big things.

Helen really shot herself in the foot though trying to pander to what LAS would want, rather than going with her strong points. Although it still seems pretty harsh that she lost out when Tom's business plan was equally useless, Alan getting a chunk of his existing relatively successful nail file business seems to have swung it in the end. It does make you wonder if he was aware of that all along, it would certainly explain why Tom was often let of the hook despite being largely hopeless for the most part.

Although I've enjoyed this series, I don't think it works as well as previous series. All the tasks feel a bit redundant if the whole thing ultimately rests on a Dragon's Den pitch. Helen losing kind of hammered that point home too.

Hello.

It's back, 'Junior Apprentice' season 2 has come, despite a slight name change to 'Young Apprentice', it still has the same format.

Well, I had just watched 'Young Apprentice' and just like the previous season's teenagers, I think this season's youngsters have a lot to show.

Hello

I happened across a minute or two of this last night.

It's one thing it's one thing having a parade of imbecilic tuppence ha'penny management speak spouting bellends doing humiliating "tasks" to scrap it out for "Lord Sugar's" affection to the amusement of the baying masses. It's quite another putting children through it.

Words fail me, Edward Eoifsch.

Well, I had a probe around and 'The Apprentice' home site has been updated.

Also at Wikipedia, back in season 1, Sir Sugar's advisors interviewed the candidates, that means in total 'The Apprentice UK' has had nine interviewers. Margaret Mountford and Nick Hewer did the interviews in season 1, while in seasons 2, 3, 4 and 5 they were just advisors, then Margaret left to study for a degree, but was happy to take up an interviewer role again, while Nick remains an advisor to this day. Karren Brady debuted as a contestant for 'Celebrity Apprentice', then in 2008 appeared as a panelist for 'The Apprentice: You're Fired' and as an interviewer for the main show and then took up advisor role for season 6. Claude Littner, Bordan Tkachuk and Paul Kemsley took part in the interviews for the first four seasons, after that Paul left, Bordan stayed up to season 6, Claude still remains. Alan Watts took part in the interviews for seasons 5 and 6. Mike Souter and Matthew Riley took part in season 7.

The companion show 'The Apprentice: You're Fired' debuted in 2006, season 2 for the main show and Adrian Chiles hosted it up to 2009, after that Dara O'Briain hosted it and to this day he's done a great job.

I had re-watched season 7 and Tom Pellereau deserved to win the final.

I also re-watched 'Young Apprentice' season 2 and the teenagers were all talented and I think Zara Brownless was the rightful winner at the final.

Now 'The Apprentice' returns for season 8 and three tasks have aired and Claude Littner was a panelist for 'You're Fired'. This season's candidates has some big characters amongst them, here's hopes they'll also have some skills.
