my local morrisons was having a clearout - got the Alice in Wonderland game for a fiver - seems like it was worth a punt at that price. Art style looks nice

Thanks for that, any idea how to open the thing without ripping the cardboard?

I got DS, partly impulse purchase, but I've been kinda having my eye on a handheld for a while, despite having PSP, which is not fully working though. I thought PSP is boring and full of rehashed 3D stuff, that is awkward to control, but now I looked up some DS games; Mario, My Boyfriend, virtual cookbook, Mario, Tetris V.157, Zelda, Mario, workout planner etc. Well it's at least it has something different to offer, than PSP... I'm just kidding, partly. Trying to find couple of puzzle games and tactical games, and finally play that Pokemon that everyone's crazy about. Made sure to buy the lite version for Advanced compatibility. It's actually my first Nintendo anything, I feel like selling my soul to he devil now and also I feel like my inner housewife and teenage girl are growing in power. The DS's color is red, so that further eats up my manhood, not to mention the pink case that is bundled with it. I've also played Final Fantasy lately. What is happening to me? I gotta play some Doom and Duke Nukem to restore yang on the level of yin.

despite the 3DS, I'm still finding DS games expensive - even pre-owned. Compared to PSP which is pretty much £5 a game now. It's cheaper to get a lot of titles new from online retailers.

moving on to call for advice:

Should I buy Flowers Sun and Rain? Or is it hype?

Is the TNMT Arcade games fun, or retro skinned terribleness?

thanks

It got pretty poor reviews, but you can get it for a fiver or less nowadays, so worth a punt at that price I'd say.

I see that Solatorobo has disappeared from virtually all online stores & it's only been out a month or so. Glad I bought a copy on day of release, which reminds me to pre-order Inazuma Eleven which is due out next week.

Hhmm. Makes sense, doesn't it? :x Oh well, off to give NOA my money.

Professor Layton's London Life isn't coming to Europe

Professor Layton And The Spectre's Call won't feature the bonus RPG London Life in Europe after all. The 100-hour RPG came with the first game in the Professor Layton prequel series in Japan and will also be included in the US version of the game. Yet there was some confusion over whether the London Life would be released in the UK.

Nintendo UK has updated ONM on the situation, saying that they currently have no plans to include the London Life RPG with copies of the game when the new adventure is released in November.

I suspect it's the time and space requirements to have the RPG in four other languages...

Which is ridiculous, they could still include only the English version. Or at least include it in the UK release and have a different mainland release. Grrr, can't believe I have to import a title which was released here...

Don't think for one moment I agree with the decision either. But apparently Capcom cited one of the reasons for low-ish sales on the first Miles Edgeworth game as the fact it only published it in English. Vicious circle really. Shops in Europe were not getting it in because it didn't have any language bar English, and thought people wouldn't buy it because of that, whereas Capcom released it in just English to save money. C'est la vie.

That reminds me, need to grab that before the prices skyrocket. Another one, sigh, as awesome as the DS is, the piracy and the fact that loads of people only discover a game after it's vanished from the shelves results in high prices for a lot of games. Just got the Dragon Quests out of the way. At least I got all the other Ace Atorney games and stuff like Last Window / Hotel Dusk / Ghost Trick already.

Sounds impressive hydr0x, can we haz picturez?

On another note, can anyone recommend the NTSC-only Front Mission remake? I'm craving for more sRGP action and the reviews all point it to be good.

Also, I'm getting Radiant Historia next month, anyone played this?
