Have you actually played it, or are you simply basing it on screenshots that came from an old build. I'm guessing it's the former, because the version I'm playing is not poor looking by any means.

I have no idea whether the screenshots I've seen are from an 'old build' or not but they look an abomination. The characters look fine but pretty much everything else looks horrendous. Angular objects like a PS1 game due to the low poly' count, washed out bland looking low resolution textures... the list goes on. Maybe these myriad shortcomings aren't so noticeable when the game is in motion viewed in 3D on the console's small and mediocre resolution screen...
