Trying to remember the name of an 80s Toy...

Postby tachi on Mon Apr 16, 2012 10:35 pm

This is nothing Gaming related at all but something I had as a kid and would like to see if they still do them now for my Daughter but cannot, for the life of me, think of (a) what it was called or (b) what to search for to have a hope of finding it!

It was like a pair of binoculars but you loaded in the top a round piece of round card which was spotted, around it's circumference, with transparent photographs from films; in my case it was Black Hole and Black Cauldron.
You put the card in the top, peered through the eye pieces and saw the picture like a scene and then clicked the trigger to rotate the paper wheel to the next shot.

I'm sure some of you recall it but can you put a name to it??

They're still making them, so you can pick them up new and get licensed discs of some of your daughter's favourite shows/films etc.

They'll never be as good as my Paddington ones though ;)

I had a MASK one of those.

Kids nowadays just do not know what they've missed out on.
