For shame, Black Ridge.

It's the price of the Resi games that I was more concerned about to be honest. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Unfortunately the games you got are pretty common & each only worth between £2 to £4 (that's included the steel box) at best but survivor can fetch up to £10 at max.
But if you thrown the N64 resident evil 2 & survivor 2 on the PS2 then you might the price you get on the starting bid.
I think you have waste your seller fees on this( If it isn't a free listing)

All the PS2 Resident Evil games where in our local Gamestation today in the 5 for £10, and apart from Gun Survivor there really common games.. Again the Platinum games are worthless and the Residents that are actually worth money, PS1 Gun game, Gamecube and N64 versions you don't have!!!

Yea, no-one wants scruffy Platinum Playstation games, especially for that price.

I don't sell things on here, I only give freebies away, I don't get any of your ill gotten gains, your Jedi mind tricks will not work on me.

Like others have said, I just didn't think the Ebay Resi lot was worth that much TBH :?

I chose £50 as starting price based on following:

At approx £7.50 each is not too bad for someone who wants an instant collection.
The £3 postage is not going to cover the cost of posting the parcel via recorded delivery (I estimate £7-£8)
so the actual cost of the games themselves is more likely to be £46-£47.
If you search for 'Resident Evil Ps1' and look at completed listings (sorted by highest first) there are
a number of similar bundles that went for £50. (there are also a few listings by other people which shocked me £126 for (sealed) Resident Evil 3? £200-£500 for a few RE posters?

Thats it really.

Yes I admit it I occassionaly buy a few 'new' things like magazines and sell them on ebay. I find that they sell well outside the UK.
On this occasion the profit from the magazines went towards my own copy of Issue 100 and also another mag (the C64/Spectrum special)
which I probably wouldnt have bought otherwise.

Have you heard of a thing called a carboot?
They have these games at between 50p to £2? & build up better for your pocket than e-bay!

I see that 3 days are already gone & no bidders.

I wait & see when the auction ends if I'm right or you are?

I'd be surprised if that lot sells and that will be the proof of the pudding.

Bidding on the auction yourself doesn't count, big-byte.

Well, it is actually - If I was buying an instant collection I would expect a LOWER price per game as you're buing a job lot. £7.50 is not a good price per game if you can easily pick up each game for 3-4 quid each.

Liek I say though, I'll be watching this one !

if they were all in good condition, and not platinum then yeah £50 is about right.

I've sold Resident evil 3,2 and directors for around £10 each a few times, but they were in great condition.

As others have said though, you're not selling anything rare, just desirable.

Gaiden, N64 they're the 2 pal big ones - could be wrong though, haven't searched for a resi game in a while as I have all the ones I want xD

I have Gaiden knocking about somewhere I think although I haven't seen it for ages, it's unboxed though sadly but might be worth digging out.

As others have said they aren't particularly expensive games at all and most of them are platinum. The problem is none of them are rare or anything so no one will be bothered with buying the lot if they can get them in better condition elsewhere cheaper (which they will)

Yeah, I've sold duplicates of the PS1 games before and they tend to go for between £6-£10 each if complete and in good condition. I've had a few crazy sales too such as a so-so Resi 2 with no manual that went for over £6 and a Platinum Resi 1 with writing in the manual that went for over a fiver. On the flipside, I sold a complete VGC copy of Survivor (really hated that game) for less than £4 so it's really up and down.

Having said that, the PS2 games in general are worthless. Even the Resi 4 tin doesn't command a decent price (I sold mine on ebay to a guy in Chile for less than £2!). The only valuable games are the Gamecube ports, the GB game and the N64 Resi 2 as already stated by others.

I'm not getting involved with the controversy around this auction, just saying.
