It's a great game, but, having tried MIA on Mame too, this is the first time I've noticed a difference between the versions on Game Room and Mame. Not that it spoils my enjoyment either way.
I've sent out a few challenges on MIA, MegaZone, Super Cobra and maybe another couple.
And, Shinobi, that's a great score on Super Cobra!! I'm terrible at that game.. .. .. mainly because it's almost flippn' impossible!!

Hey, glad you discovered M.I.A. I also loved Green Beret / Rush N Attack so loved this too.. I remembered playing it in arcades as a kid, then found it via MAME a few years ago. It's definitely better than the prequel I think.
I had a go at your challenge for M.I.A and got a pretty good 174,000 odd points, so looking forward to seeing everyone else have a go!

First attempt I got to the forth level(losing my last life on) the men driving trucks I think, only got 137,000 nowhere near your score.. At least I can do the first 2 levels without dying[/quote]
I keep practicing and now I can get to level 4 without dying, but the game can stitch you up sometimes, especially the guard towers at the end of levels.. their shooting is very eratic.. also if you miss getting on the train and getting to the high platform on level 3 (4?) then you are screwed..
The problem with high score chasing is once you get to your peak then everytime you die once you have to start over and it starts to lose the fun. Saying that though M.I.A. Isnt too bad.. Really glad you guys are getting involved.
Trick Trap's incredible unfairness has resulted in my Hori Arcade stick resting upside down on the other side of the living room

I found with the first tower when the guy on the left fire's you can safely climb up without being hit and kill the other two sentrys with the flamethrower.. Not sure how you sneak up on the second tower, I doubt I will come anywhere near your score.. Never played Trip Trap will have to give that a go, pity there isn't a Hero challange sure that would be the only one I would win
Super Cobra I played the Atari 2600 version a lot, think it was just look that I lasted that long
