Just a shame the sequal to Jossy's giants (Glipton romeo's) wasn't a patch on the first series. And to think they were written by darts commentating legend Sid Waddell :)

^^Johnny Bravo wasn't until the mid-90s though, but welcome to the forum!

Knightmare was my all-time favourite from the 80s.

Does anybody else remember the T-Bag series though? I think it started off as a story-driven educational show about letters and then developed from there. Originally it took place in Letterland, but I think the last series was on a spaceship or something.

unsure about it being a clown but it could also be "green claws" he was in a greenhouse.

Nah mate, that isn't it.

It might of been a clown or some masked bloke, but i tell you what... it was scary! And looking back on it now, it's a wonder how the program got granted permission to be aired mate!

It reeks of peadophilia, honestly.

There was Noseybonk, a guy in a black suit and creepy white big-nosed facemask. He was in a regular sped-up slapstick film short in Jigsaw, a puzzle-based BBC1 programme that built up clues each week to some hidden treasure somewhere.

The episode of Johnny Bravo where he meets the gang from Scooby Doo is an absolute masterpiece. "My glasses, I can't see without my glasses." "Huh - my glasses - can't be seen without my glasses."

If you want kids' stuff to watch now, check out iPlayer for repeats of Pixelface. Or just google Karen David...

I remember seeing a few episodes of Starfleet on Tiswas back in the day and there is indeed a rather smart box set of the series available.

ah was it Tiswas? (see what I did there???)

I knew one of the Saturday morning shows but thought was Number 73 for some reason

EDIT: Number 73 replaced Tiswas in 1982, so it may well have been on both

Spent most of yesterday evening watching James The Cat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc9PUzIHkW4), the comical/strange adventures of a fat posh cat, a big rabbit based on Rocky Balboa, a snail, a French chef/frog, a kangaroo and a Welsh dragon who live in the garden of an abandoned house. Great stuff.
