Still I suppose they will be worth something for anyone who wants to stick their own ROMs on there and emulators although I don't really know what's supported cause I haven't really looked into it.

Yeah, problem is there are other machines out there that do that, of better quality and do it better. And are established so don't have those initial bugs to iron out this does.
It's point of difference was that store they bragged about, hyped, and marketed on. Which is obviously worth censored! :)

Looking at the facebook page, there was supposed to be a game update Monday, didn't happen, and a few more frustrated owners are emailling and getting no replies. A few more are joining the refund queue.
censored I'm glad I did not buy one of these

More and more disgruntled customers, fed up with lack of info, updates, games and replies have finally got through. Facebook update: They had a managemant meeting and will be making an update today on the short and long term strategy for the GG.
Seriously better be something that was worth waiting for, or I think there will be a mass exit

This thing looks like a joke, promising maybe, but this whole debacle just puts potential customers right off, they should have set out their whole vision and plan to the wider public before the thing launched, can't see why people would want to buy into it now, unless they pull a rabbit out of their hat.

Yeah, the concept was exciting, and had it been done well, planned, with a bit of competence, it could have been a huge success. They seem genuine enough, just totally lacking in the nouse to have organised it properly...which has made the whole thing look scammish. :(

Update- this one is staggering.

The big buildup to todays games...Doom. One freeware game.

They have shut down their facebook page, and their forum has suddenly changed to this dictatorial site with no compaints, at all, allowed. I'm serious, please check it out, you will not believe it.
So no new games, they only difference is they are trying to stop all avenues of customers complaining so word does not get out! It is simply jawdroppingly arrogant.
I left a verbal spray 'on the way out' as I could not believe what I was seeing. No doubt it will be deleted quick. I am seriously thinking of starting up my own facebook page or something where GG can express themselves and complain! One guy simply asked if there were any games coming out today, like promised...? His reply was, 'You're barking up the wrong tree, I won't warn you again!

Christ on a bike.

That would be the same Doom that you can play on a GBA, right? A GBA with a copy of the game will set you back about £10 tops, so if you must have a portable version I think the course of action is obvious...

I was blown away. The big buildup of what was going to happen today...one freeware game. The difference is the facebook page with legions of unhappy customers was wiped, and the forum now has this new 'welcome' section you are supposed to read- Outlining it's now under Nazi rule!
I guess that's one way to handle the customer unrest...

Just been on the 'new' forums and seen the 'welcome' topic - what a disgrace!

A user posts a reasonably worded post expressing his concerns only to be met with the likes of 'you won't be warned again', 'don't let the door hit you on the way out' and 'Rome wasn't built in a day'.

Fair enough, but Rome was not released to the public two weeks before it could be used, given (to date) a selection of games already available on cheap handhelds (from the same company), shut down its favebook page and removed any evidence of disgruntled customers.

I'm never normally harsh, but Blaze can go censored themselves - here's one (of many I'm sure) potential customer you have lost.

It's a crying shame for sure. I was so hoping it would live up to the billing of iTunes for retro gaming. It would've been my next portable choice before the Vita or 3DS. Oh well, maybe another company can step up to the plate instead. :(

So what do you actually get for your money when you turn one on right now? The comment from the mod on the welcome thread was shocking. It mentions being able to play all sorts of systems, so lots of ROMs but is all that in place now?

That person was actually me!! I really was stunned by that reply and thats what prompted me to file for a refund.
I have been a GG owner from day 1 and it has really been the worst experience for me as a keen retro gamer and consumer.
Things were bad before and when they said they were handing the project to another team, I really thought well this could finally be it!! only to be told to p*** off by the people that run the forum.
Really shocked me how a company hoping to make money is quite happy to tell people to p*** off. I have never bought a product before to be told by the company themselves they want me to go elsewhere!! shocking!!
DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!

I went and had a look at this.

These guys must be *really* desperate. But that's what happens when you dont live up to ANY of your promises.

This though, is why I dont buy things on day one, usually for any reason. Consoles and similar things, I mean; games I will often buy on day one. But not the actual devices, no no no. I've done that a few times in the past, and each time, it's been a mistake...
