Best - Rocket Knight Adventures, Sparkster, Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi, Shining Force, Shining Force 2.

Worst - er some submarine game, couldn't work out how to bloody play it! The other 9 will have to wait as I can't think!

I'm also on the "why so much Bubsy hate" side of the camp. It's fast paced, looks nice and the gameplay's pretty solid too. Why is it people hate Bubsy I so much? I appreciate the third one is terrible, and I've yet to play the second, but surely even if you don't like Bubsy it can't be so bad you'd have to consider it one of the system's worst games.

Anyway:

1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles
2. Cannon Fodder
3. James Pond 2: Robocod
4. The Lion King
5. Pier Solar
6. Wiz N' Liz (although the Amiga version is better)
7. Another World (As above, from an artistical sense in this case - the Amiga version is better than most of the games on this list.
8. Ristar
9. Castle of Illusion
10. Aladdin

I'll have to think about the worst, but Altered Beast is definitely on there.

Has anyone else played TECHNOCLASH?

My mates used to reckon it was rubbish but I sunk a lot of time into it. It was a kind of steampunk gauntlet clone from EA.

I remember it, though I'm in the same camp as your mates, I hated it though will admit I never played it enough to form a decent opinion, 'cos i got Wonderboy In Monster World the week after and got stuck into that. If I remember rightly, it wasn't a very colourful game, and the colours used were a bit 'off', it was a bit 'Atari ST' in appearance.

Think I have the patience to play it now, might pop it on the Everdrive shortly.

Sounds about right, I was in a room with 4 people and couldn't work out what to push or where or whatever... I'm sure had I a clue it would've been a fantastic game!

..as for the worst, well I'm sure Bubsy would find it in there, and I always felt that the Alex Kidd game was a bit of a missed opportunity. But I didn't buy any of the crap ones so I'm not too well-versed in them!

Never heard of it, but just been on YouTube and it looks alright (besides the SLOW bullets!). A bit like the True Lies game (which is great), so worth a go, probably.
