Any help required?

Postby ipmarks on Wed Mar 28, 2012 6:29 pm

I have recently submitted some reviews for the retro gamer website... I thought long and hard about this, as it has been in a bit of a decline of late.

I do however enjoy writing them, so I sent them in anyway. This was a few weeks ago, and as yet there is no appearance of them on the site - they are still pending. Also more Spam appeared last week as review comments, I really hoped this was sorted.

I really do appreciate that Darran and Stuart are busy, and to be honest I'd rather have them delivering the fantastic magazine than administering the website, so the question is can someone else be put in charge of the website. I did once offer my services, but apparently this was not technically possible, it seems a shame that users of the website cannot monitor and administer it, a bit like the mods on the forum.

It's not a moan, more a question, as I love the website, and want something done to maintain it in the long term.

You've been a long time supporter of the retrobate section but sadly nobody gives a sh1t about it. Lots of good reviews there but also some really awful ones that have got through too. :?
Keep writing though!

Probably not worth keeping writing if nobody gives a sh1t.

I think it's official - nobody gives a sh!t about it - As we know, it's been that way for quite some time, unfortunately.

If the place was given a make-over and a little love, then maybe I'd start doing a few more reviews - maybe if it could be integrated into the main forum then people would take a bit more notice, maybe...

I like the section but always forget it's there tbh. It is a complete mess and needs a huge overhaul.
